Armani and Martina met at Winston-Salem State University. Over the years, they have become more than friends and Armani coined the term “Sister friends” to descibe their ever-evolving relationship. Armani lives in Greensboro, NC with her husband, Gregory, and two children.

Racquel and Dustin met at Duke University and have been friends for nearly a decade. Racquel convinced Dustin to move to NYC, which ultimately led to him meeting Martina! They’ve served on executive boards, co-hosted a podcast, laughed, prayed, and cried together. A true friendship. Racquel lives in Durham, NC.

Chris and Dustin are line brothers and were both Spring '12 initiates of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Beta Iota Chapter at Winston-Salem State University. Chris and Dustin have traveled to nearly every Alpha convention together, in addition to London, England. Chris lives in Dallas, TX.

Donte and Dustin share over 13 years of friendship. They met during Dustin’s first year at WSSU and from that time have been brothers in a deeper sense. They are both members of Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Co-Ed Fraternity and life-long friends. Donte lives in Winston-Salem, NC with his wife, Mahogany, and their daughter.

Maureen, aka Shaniese, is Martina’s “little” big sister. The two not only share parents, but they also share a place in each other’s hearts that only a sister can reserve. There is no one else that could fill the role of Martina’s Matron of Honor. Maureen lives in Jacksonville, NC with her husband, Kymar, and their two children.

Derwin and Dustin met 13 years ago at Winston-Salem State University. They are not just friends, but brothers in a deeper sense. Derwin has been a constant friend and support at every stage of Dustin’s life. He is a pastor, public servant, and a former NC State Representative. Derwin lives in Winston-Salem, NC.

Mackenzie and Martina go way back to middle school where they first met in band! There friendship is built on honesty and genuinity and regardless of where they are in life and in the world, they are always there to support one another. What would today be like without Mackenzie as Martina’s Maid of Honor? Mackenzie lives in Columbus, OH.

Dahlia and Martina met in middle school and became close friends while attending Mauldin High School. Dahlia is a constant reminder that true friendship knows no time contraints. The two regularly catch up on Martna’s trips to Greenville and continue to support each other throughout each stage of life. Dahlia lives in Greenville, SC.

Kevin and Dustin met at Duke and later worked together in NYC - they have been brothers since. Not only is Kevin the father to Dustin’s godson, Ethan, but they are fraternity brothers, colleagues, and Duke graduates. Kevin is an incredible role model, husband, father, and friend. Kevin lives in Washington DC with his wife, Marcia, and their son.

Michael (“Tre”) and Dustin met at Duke in 2014 and have been quoting scenes from “Life” and “Harlem Nights” ever since. Any time they are together, you can expect to hear nothing but laughter. They’ve been rocking together since 202 Slateworth. Tre lives in Fort Lee, NJ.

Ashley is Martina’s “Sister-Cousin”— A title reserved just for her! As Martina’s older cousin, Ashley is a consistent source of guidance, love and guaranteed laughter. Martina can count on Ashley for perspective and honesty no matter the situation. Martina couldn’t imagine this moment without her cousin by her side. Ashley lives in Austin, TX.

Taylor is Dustin and Martina’s nine year old niece. She enjoys TikTok, singing, and going to church with her Meemaw.

Zion is Dustin and Martina’s nephew. He is in the sixth grade and enjoys video games, football, and playing with his dogs.

Kamryn is Dustin and Martina’s five year old niece. She enjoys Trolls, dinosours, and telling jokes to her PaPa.

Tristan is Dustin and Martina’s eight year old nephew. He enjoys science, Miles Morales, and owns his own lemonade business.

Salem Bartholomew Pickett is Dustin and Martina’s puppy. Named in honor of their alma mater, Winston-Salem State University. While he won’t be at the wedding, Salem has been a joy and great milestone in their relationship.
