Dustin’s Story
Dustin James Pickett grew up in North Carolina, raised in Beulaville (Duplin County) and Raleigh (Wake County). He is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and Duke University, and is currently pursuing a PhD. Dustin is the youngest son of Fontella Humphrey and James Rufus Pickett.
In 2016, Dustin moved to New York City for work, where he met Martina.
Martina’s Story
Martina Desireé Watson grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a 2015 graduate of Winston-Salem State University and a 2019 graduate of New York Law School. Martina is the youngest daughter of Martin and Brenda Watson.
In 2016, Martina moved to New Jersey to attend law school, where she met Dustin.
Our Relationship
On Valentine's Day 2022, Dustin proposed to Martina in Paris, and they knew that they were meant to spend their lives together.
